These profiles include photographs and descriptions gathered on field visits of stores specifically for the Weis Project. Analyses of these stores focus on the store's interior and exterior architectural features, the history of each store, the condition of each store, and the towns and cities in which each store is located. The in-depth store profiles on the Weis Project are a snapshot in time; each profile tells the dates when each store was visited. The listing on the right side of this page allows you to browse through the stores, sorting the listing of stores by store number or by the town or county in which each store is located. Please note that this listing is not an exhaustive listing of stores in each location or in the chain. Only stores visited specifically for this project have been included. While every effort has been made to ensure that these profiles are factually accurate, the nature of these store visits means that misinformation is sometimes reported. On each visit, contextual clues at each store are read to determine the store's history. In many cases, some best guesses might in fact be incorrect. User corrections are welcomed! |
