Newspaper Advertisements

A Weis advertisement from a 1966 edition of the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Click on the image for a larger version.

Weis currently circulates advertisements and shopping guides, such as the one pictured here, in newspapers, in the mail, and in its stores. Note the presence of the "king's" name on this particular guide, featured in the Lehigh Valley, where both banners are widespread.

New Store Promotional Flyers

When Weis opens new stores, it prints a promotional brochure that introduces people to the new store. The brochures include a store map and directory. Pictured above are grand opening brochures from Weis's two Mechanicsburg stores: store #58, which opened in the late 1990s, and store #1999, which opened in late 2002. While both stores follow Weis's modern superstore format, the brochures themselves suggest an evolution in the company's promotional design principles.
